A press release by our Platinum sponsor QUEST

Quest Software, a global provider of cybersecurity, data intelligence and IT management solutions, will be showcasing its tailor-made cybersecurity solutions for Active Directory at the 2022 Cloud Summit. The event is taking place between September 26 – 28 in Mainz.

Ragnar Heil, EMEA Channel Account Manager at Quest, will also be taking to the stage on September 27th during the event. Heil will be dicussing the challenges when it comes to AD & AAD configuration and how it is essential businesses can proactively detect any changes when it comes to compliance and security. In addition, Heil will also be dicussing how AD Domain Controllers can be restored in the forest on Azure VMs or in another data center and how businesses can also back up AAD objects to the Azure customer tenant.

For many organisations, patch and vulnerability management alone are no longer sufficient to protect hybrid work environments. If businesses are to stay secure, it is imperative to detect anomalies and dangerous attack patterns earlier. As a result, companies need to develop and implement a multi-layered security strategy that also includes directory services such as AD and AAD. Quest addresses this challenge with SpecterOps BloodHound Enterprise, which is available in different packages for different business needs.

The Quest solution analyzes, evaluates, and prioritizes potential points of attack, allowing customers to focus their security efforts on the attack paths that pose the greatest risk.

To ensure this improved security, Quest is working closely with SpecterOps to get this problem under control faster and easier than before by combining Quest’s AD management and auditing solutions with SpecterOps BloodHound. The solution creates a graphical representation of all potential AD attack paths. This makes it easier to identify the key avenues for an attack and then eliminate them.

In addition, SpecterOps BloodHound Enterprise monitors and evaluates an organization’s cybersecurity improvement over time against the relevant KPIs of those responsible. It emphasizes risk mitigation when misconfigurations are corrected and eliminates bottlenecks. In the event of a successful attack from the attacker’s point of view, SpecterOps BloodHound Enterprise complements the Quest Change Auditor and On Demand Audit Hybrid Suite, whose real-time functions can identify and thwart ongoing attacks by detecting anomalies. The solution also supports Quest Recovery Manager for Active Directory Disaster Recovery Edition, which, according to ESG Research, restores AD at least five times faster than a manual recovery process.
